FUT Draft is a mode where you build a squad from random player picks and compete for rewards. Entry costs 15,000 coins or 300 FIFA Points. Win four matches in a row and you earn the best rewards in FUT. This guide explains how to build winning draft squads and whether it is worth playing.

How FUT Draft Works

**Entry Cost** 15,000 coins or 300 FIFA Points per entry. You can also earn draft tokens from objectives or SBCs.

**Building Your Squad** You are given five player choices for each position. Pick one player per position until your squad is complete. The players offered are random but usually include high-rated options.

**Matches** Play up to four matches. Win four in a row and you earn the maximum rewards. Lose once and your draft run ends. Rewards are based on how many wins you achieved (0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 wins).

Building a Winning Draft Squad

**Prioritise Chemistry** Pick players that link well. If your first pick is a Premier League striker, prioritise Premier League players in surrounding positions. Chemistry determines how well your team plays.

**Formation Flexibility** You are offered a choice of formations at the start. Pick a formation you are comfortable with. Don't experiment in draft mode - use what works for you.

**Balance Your Squad** Don't stack your team with five attacking players and ignore defence. You need a balanced squad with strong defenders, a solid CDM, and clinical finishers.

**Pace on the Wings** Pacy wingers dominate draft mode. If you are offered a winger with 90+ pace, take them. Pace wins matches at all levels.

Draft Tactics

**Play Defensively Early** Your first match in draft is usually against weaker opponents. Win comfortably by playing solid, defensive football. Save your energy for later matches.

**Adapt to Your Squad** If you drafted a squad with two pacy strikers, play counter-attacking football. If you drafted possession-based midfielders, play slow build-up. Adapt your tactics to the players you picked.

**Don't Panic if You Concede First** Draft matches are unpredictable. High-rated players make mistakes. Stay calm, stick to your tactics, and create chances. Most draft matches are decided by one goal.

Rewards Breakdown

**0 Wins** Two packs (usually small). You will not recover your 15,000 coin entry fee. Avoid going 0-4.

**1 Win** Two better packs. Still unlikely to break even. Aim for at least two wins.

**2 Wins** Two good packs or a tradeable pack plus coins. You may break even depending on pack luck.

**3 Wins** Multiple packs, potentially tradeable. Good rewards, worth the entry cost if you pack something usable.

**4 Wins (Maximum Rewards)** The best packs in FUT, including tradeable options. Potential for massive profit. This is why draft is worth playing if you can consistently win 3-4 matches.

Is Draft Mode Worth It?

**If You Win 3-4 Matches Consistently: Yes** The rewards are excellent. Tradeable packs can be sold for coins. Untradeable packs provide SBC fodder. Draft is profitable if you are good.

**If You Win 1-2 Matches: Maybe** You break even or lose a small amount. If you enjoy draft mode, it is worth playing occasionally. If you are grinding coins, Rivals or trading is more efficient.

**If You Go 0-1 Wins: No** You lose coins every time. Practice in Rivals or Squad Battles until you improve. Draft is not for beginners.

Draft Tips for Beginners

**Use Draft Tokens First** If you earn draft tokens from objectives, use them instead of spending coins. Free entry means no financial risk.
